Etoo will not play in Uzbekistan?

Samuel Etoo denied a possible move to Uzbekistan's Kuruvchi FC at the press conference held in Tashkent, according to Russian news agencies. Etoo looked surprised when asked about the contract with Kuruvchi and rejected all rumors. He also added that he came to visit Uzbekistan and give some master class. Etoo also added that he is going to join Barcelona trainings as was priorly planned.

Why would the authorities of the Uzbek Kuruvchi club, if this is the case, would misinform their fans and make fun of themselves remains a mystery.

Uzbek special services behind Tajik court bombing?

The head of the Supreme Court Nusratullo Abdulloyev announced today that Uzbek special services were involved in explosions near the Supreme Court building in Dushanbe, reports Asia-Plus.

The investigation has established that on June 14 2007, Ishonqulov met in the Uzbek city of Denau with his friend Said, working for the Uzbek special services. Said passed him the order of officers from the Uzbek National Security Service (SNB) to carry out a bombing in Dushanbe for the purpose of destabilizing the situation,” Abdulloyev said.

The relations between the Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have not been easy. There have been a number of mutual accusations of intimidation and support of Islamist militants in the past. Uzbekistan has mined the borders with its southern neighbour Tajikistan after civil war broke out in this country. Borders continue to be mined due to the mistrust of the Uzbek authorities in the capability and will of their Tajik colleagues.

These tensions are indicative of disagreements within such regional security and cooperation institutions like - Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Collective Security Treaty Organization, Eurasian Economic Community - of which both countries are members.

Meanwhile, there are some reports coming that a Tajik village has been seized by Afghan militants.
